24616, Songs D covered...

Besides "Cruisin´", the only song i know that he covered was this Roberta Flack joint "Feel like makin love". I think on the "live at the Jazz Cafe" and song off the Down to Delta soundtrack had some covers too......

I like 99 % of D's shyt. But some songs go straight to my core. The only four songs of that caliber he covered Monday were Dreamin Eyes', One More Gin' and of course Untitled and Chicken Grease.

I was waiting for "Alright", "Jones in My Bones", "The Root", "Spanish Joint", "Africa" but he didn't hit those but its all good. . .I thoroughly enjoyed every second. I wish he'd put out a CD of his a la carte shyt like "She Always In My Hair", "Heaven Must Be Like This" and ish that he's not released to the general public.

I have a feeling just being a fly on the wall at one of his and ?uest's recording sessions would be an experience unto itself.

He and the Soulaquarians are simply magnificent!

Lately I've been wearing out "Sugar Walls", the track Prince wrote and produced for Sheena Easton. One of the phattest trax he ever did for someone else.

WHY DID THAT STUPID MOFO KEEP SAYING "IT'S NOT D'ANGELO, BUT ITS GOOD"

Fucking jerk.
Look D is a musical genius in my opinion. He deserves his props, but damn. You've got some serious musical and lyrical veterans in Lucy Pearl. Why not just talk about the quality of their music? Why compare on such a negative note? I don't know how some of these critics get their jobs.
I know there is more to my state of pissitivity then I am typing, but that really pissed me off. Maybe I can articulate my dismay at a later date.
