24613, not in the least

Japanese illustration styles are found in the work of many artists, regardless of their culture. Read up on manga (japanese comics) in Europe if you're up for something to do. Attention should be placed on influence in the other direction, as manga become increasingly westernized to portray the subjective reality of beauty despite the everyday Asian look.

We're having much more of an influence on them as hip-hop, hairstyles, and other aspects of black america are welcomed by Japan's younger generations. * but believe me, embracing another image isn't always pretty. Take a look at this: http://www.salon.com/people/feature/2000/03/08/kogaru/story.jpg *

Culture theft is such a harsh term. People are awed and inspired by whatever's not typical. And originality sells. People should be flattered and not offended when their styles are admired by others. And others should know better than to think they can become who they're not. Adopt if you will, adapt to what you know.

Just pondering while I procrastinate...
