hmmm...this probably sounds dumb but.. i sometimes like movies that don't have happy endings. how 'bout this for an ending... prince, as expected, has saved the day and rescued D from the evil grip of morris. Somehow, the rescue leaves morris in financial and emotional ruin. prince finally decideds to allow D his time in the limelight and one night, as D is taking his bow after show, he turns and sees morris in the audience. morris, in a jealous rage brandishes a weapon (you choose the weapon). prince runs to the rescue again and takes the (bullet? knife? poisoned dart?) in D's place. yada yada, mentor dies in the arms of prodigy...
