Word, the Jazz festival is amazing. I went last summer and saw this 13 year old trombone player from New Orleans KILL IT! Then he picked up the trumpet, and KILLED THAT TOO!!! I tried to get the Roots Crew up here for that last summer. I emailed a few people and got a response that the email would be forwarded, but you know how that is. The Montreal Jazz fest is great, not only do you have Concerts at regular venues ($$$) but you get part of downtown closed off and you can watch jazz bands all day for free...and during the festival, practically every restaurant, cafe or bar has a jazz band playing.

If you can scrape up some money this year, hit me up, it's be alot of fun.

I was like ain't this a bitch! That's why I was rockin' a ponytail when he did get here! During one of those two times D' jumped off the stage I rubbed them abs, got a hand full of sweat.
When he got back on stage I continued to get those sweet looks and then a rose and I ain't been right ever since, lol. But he threw his t-shirt in the crowd and one of those "girls he don't mess with" got it, I was like WTF - again.

My point ladies? D's got to be in tip top shape to give you his all. He's not one of those performers who sounds like shit in person. He sounds even better! And believe me, you'll feel like he's performing just for you. I know ya'll ain't trying to hear that but that man is only human. Seems like everybody's getting sick. Maybe its the pollen and change of weather.

Man... I wouldn't be so upset that D' was sick BUT... why the hell was no one notified until two and a half hours before the show???

I was rolling my way from London to T.O. to see the concert and meet my girl when in Mississauga (about 1/2 hour away from T.O.) she calls and tells me it's cancelled! That was a waste of 3.5 hours of my life!

Also, I heard on the radio that it was postponed until Friday. BUT, Ticketmaster has it listed as rescheduled for May 30. Which is it? I can't go to the May 30th date...

Cuz' I got my official word at the salon the day of the show too. I guess it would stand to reason that the very last resort is to cancel or postpone. Everyone loses out when they have to cancel too. But D's voice is nothing to be messing around with. You don't wanna do permanent damage to your chords. It's akin to Kobe busting a knee, God forbid. I just hopes he slows down a bit and gets the rest he truly needs.

I and my two sister had our tonsils taken out at the age of 9 because we also kept catching colds. For the no. of people with your tour as well as the no. of people he kisses on the cheek, this is to be expected. It is like a newborn who has a rash on the cheeks of his face - it comes from all the different LOVING mouths that are kissing him/her each day.

Please let D know that he needs to get his tonsils and anoids (I think that's how it's spelled) removed ASAP after Letterman. Rosie can wait (I guess). It is going to be very hard on him at first because all he will be doing for the first few days is spitting up even more blood. It will be MUCH worse than what he is experiencing now, but mostly because he's older. It is just like coming down with the chicken pox when older - it will shut you down for a while.

But tell him that down the road he will be LESS susceptable to catching a cold as often.

Massey Hall (concert venue) said the show is cancelled and that we have to return our tickets to the place of purchase, Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster.ca doesn't say anything about a make-up, but your info is probably faster then theirs. There's gonna be hell to pay at Massey Hall/Ticketmaster if ya'll come back and other people get their old tickets honoured.

that tonsilitis is serious, maybe D does need to get his tonsils out. I had my out, and I felt a hundred percent better, but I can't sing and have no singing career. Make sure they get those adenoids too, cause if they don't get them now, he'll still run the risk of getting sick later. The adenoids are supposed to shrink but in his case they will probably enlarge, which in turn, will make him sick. It's not pretty.

So, I hope and pray for D, that he recupe's. I also hope that his fans are patient enough to understand that if he doesn't take this time, he'll be out of the game longer.
