i don't think it's fair to compare. once you begin to compare the album, you in essence are comparing experience and time. what i mean is that brown sugar was and is the album, for the time it came out. now here, as i breath listening to voodoo, it is the album of our time. with new experiences comes new sound. brown sugar and voodoo are different not better or worse from each other. once you rate them against each other you take something from each one.
