i don't think you can compare. if you compare and rate one better than the other, you would be comparing experiences and time. brown sugar was and is the best album for the time it came out. but now, here in the present breath voodoo is the album. it's a different time and with different time comes new experience and new sound. once you begin rating them against each other you take something away from each one. so they are different (not better or worse) from each other. ya dig?
