I agree. Voodoo is without a doubt the better album. Brown Sugar is excellent but I feel that it lacks the depth (emotionally or lyrically) that Voodoo has. I don't think that there are any songs on Brown Sugar that have the lyrical depth of a devil's pie or send it on. Also Voodoo is more emotionally moving for me. I don't think Voodoo can be compared to anything in recent years except 80's Prince work.

The production on voodoo is flawless. The sound is so complete and different it's just amazing. The ONLY flaw on voodoo for me is the appearance by Red and Meth (I will rep this til I die) they just did not belong on that gem of an album. I have been considering burning a copy of the album with the version of Left and Right w/o Red and Meth.

I bump Voodoo everyday and Brown Sugar at least three times a week.
