It's not about being stuck on the "neo-soul" thing. It's about embracing the kind of music I grew up on. I didn't grow up on overly synthesized music, with wack assed lyrics. I grew up on the likes of Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Aretha Franklin, Minnie Riperton, The Isley Brothers, Earth, Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, etc.
