I was kinda surprised that he went off like that. I wish my memory were a little better and I could let you know a little bit more about it. I do remember thinking to myself that it sounded kinda harsh to me, especially given the fact that we were in San Francisco and there were probably a lot of gay people in the crowd. They probably didn't feel to great when Common said "So if you're on that gay (or fag or queer, I'm not sure which word) shit, get the fuck up outta here."

However, it did not turn me into a Common hater. I still luh that guy :-) But then again, I'm not gay, so I didn't feel as insulted by it as others did. A couple of minutes before that freestyle he was telling the crowd to be cool, stop fighting with one another, show love, be careful not to push the women cause they are queens etc. So, I dunno. If that's how he feels the need to express himself....
