I just got off the phone with Black Thought & his manager......Masterpiece Theatre WILL be the title of his solo album.
I know En Vogue just used it but they sold only 83,000 units so a lot of folks missed it.

Thought's 1st promo white label 12" will be sent out Oct. 16 in case you were wondering.....Of course it's HOTTT !

Yeah i was wondering about this too. I hope bahamadia and Est make the cut. I think it would f'up some minds if Wil Smith and Marvelous Marv was on a cut.(is Marvelous Marv still alive) We know Steady B and Cool C won't be on it (thank God) Malik B, Dice Raw, and maybe M.A.R.S. seem to be a lock. just read it in Billboard...it is NOT an actual permanent group, but a temporary group based on characters in the Spike Lee film "bamboozled". The group is called the Mau Maus and contains Mos Def, Charli Baltimore, Canibus, MC Serch (in a group called Mau Maus???????), DJ Scratch, and some lesser known cats (Mums and this other guy).

"blak is blak", the Mau Maus' only song to date, will be the first (noncommercial) single from the "bamboozled" soundtrack.

so, it's not like they are coming out with a record together or anything....this is just for the film...

(unless the single blows up, I guess, then maybe they will make more songs together)

Not to diss Rasco ... I don't see him co-opin w/ Thought - I see him collabing more with Rakim or somebody.

Anyway ... I think that there should also be a cut with Pharoahe no doubt

I also think Thought should do a track where he rhymes at 150 bpm.

But the No Limit and Black Thought audiences are fairly distinct.
