I wasnt really expecting D' to win anything, save maybe the R&B award, but he didnt even win that one (Didnt see the show, on the west, so I dont know whom he lost too). MTV's crowd doesnt exactly cater to the tastes of us okayplayers...think of it as if the okp's were to hold an award show. we nominate Com, Mos, Roots, D', etc. but somehow, someone like....say....Jay-Z gets onto the ballot. I love D', and that song, but I didn't expect him to win anything and I don't think he deserved to. This was a video music awards show, and as novel and unique the video was, I don't think it was anything particularly impressive. It was even that original, look at Sinead O'conner's "nothing compares 2 U", that had a very similar concept. So, I'm not that surprised. It still would been great to see him win though.

This video was impressive, in that D poured his soul into this song. And even though you may not have been impressed on how the video was presented, it was still unique! I don't think that that video would have gotten the recognition it has if D had have been sexin some honey in it, and I think that's what makes it unique.
