A few people I'd like to see on the next Roots:
Cornelius
Kool Keith (as Matthew)
Del Tha Funky Homosapien
maybe Beck
Ahmed Jamal
Add N To X
Bjork
Tom Waits
James Blood Ulmer

and I think it would be literally a God send if the Roots teamed up with Quincy Jones, Brian Wilson, Van Dyke Parks, Sean O'Hagan of the High Llamas, and the Vienna Boy Choir for some loping, huge and expansive soundscape type of deal like the wall of sound styles from the early 60's, like Pet Sounds or Grant Green's Watermelon Lady set to Phil Spector with Black Thought MCing.

I'd really like to see them go way out, do some field recordings like Alan Lomax or Harry Partch, or maybe build and eventually record on an underwater studio.
