Yeah, I'm in law school (anmd finished in a little over three months), but I don't think it's likely I'll be able to single-handedly change copyright law. I'll sure try to lobby for it though, rest assured. I think that the fair use provision could be expanded to protect some forms of sampling (which radically change the sound of the composition)...the thing is, no one is really lobbying Congress to change the sampling laws.
