This is not an either/or situation.
In other words, it isn't battle emcee = immature/story rhymer = mature. I think he can mix and match it up and still reflect maturity. What folks are clamoring for is the *well-rounded* emcee, the cat who can flip stories, battle rhymes, humor, introspection, et cetera. Com's got that. I don't think his new musical direction means we'll never hear another "Hungry" again. In fact, if Bun B and them don't quit it, we'll hear another "Bitch In Yoo".
(if you didn't know, Bun B and some assorted members of the UGKz extended fam dropped a dis cut against Com on the under...maybe it'll stop there...in which case a response on a mix tape is appropriate...but if they keep it up on the next UGKz album, methinks a more public lyrical ass whipping may be necessary)
