I was peeping a tape of the Roots performance w/ Chris Rock last night (What You Want w/ Jag), and I noticed him again ... the white Roots member who plays the keys behind Kamal. I think I saw the same guy play with them when the Roots were on Letterman ... is this true?

So who is this guy? Do they just pull him out when they have a major T.V. spot and they want to sound more "full"?

Also, who is the other emcee other than scratch on the stage on the Chris Rock show? He didn't look familiar to me (like Dice Raw or Rahzel) ...

That's partially true (the idea of Jews as a race existed before the Nazis), and it's true also that the idea of race has no scientifical grounds and is a pure construct.

With that said, this idea is constantly exploited by zionists to justify the creation of Israel and the spoliation of Palestinians.

Given the fact that the notion of race now exists, whether we want it or not, Jews are not a race. There are white jews, black jews, maybe even yellow jews.

And you can't rely on all that babble about the tribe of Judah in the Torah or the Bible to justify anything, because guess what, they are NOT history books. They're the basis of a religion, and therefore they're highly subjective.

Photos of Storch are on the back of the distortion to static 12" along with the rest of the group. I always wondered why Kamal took over when Do You Want More??!!?? broke. Was Storch too busy, or was it an image decision on the part of the rootz, i.e. - a pink slip. Obviously they're all still tight. Just a question I've had in my mind. Both are strong players, though their styles are different. They probably brought em both on to give the sound more layers. Good shit.

I'm pretty sure Storch played all the keys on DYWM, but couldn't really do the whole touring thing at the time... and he had projects of his own to work on. he still works with the roots... he wrote the "you got me" melody and yes that was him on letterman... gotta give props to the dude who composed it!! for those who don't know... he's the mastermind behind the Still D.R.E. melody and works with the jazzyfatnastees and plenty of others... he actually played keys on the boogie monsters' underwater album (i'm a liner notes nerd) and i'm pretty sure he worked with spearhead as well.

Scott Storch happens to be a pretty in-demand producer working with Dr. Dre's camp on Snoop Dogg's Tha Last Meal and with many artists coming out with new hot shit....he did start with the roots before Kamal, damn I wish I could have seen his white/jewish ass performing with the roots...dont get me wrong i love the klangsquad...but it still would be cool...peace, d

September '99, when Kamal and his wife had their baby. Storch filled in on the shows that mal couldn't be there. Man, he's got the touch on those keys, though...
