Why does he need extras for doing his job? Just because I introduce people I interact with to Talib Kweli (some becoming fans, some not), does that mean Kwa owes me free tickets or a fucking t-shirt? Get the fuck outta here. I listen to Kweli b/c I love the music and if it were possible for me to introduce him to a larger audience than I am able to as a simple consumer I would for no cost but to let others join in my appreciation. I wouldn't do it for some fucking comps.

3rd Rail gets paid to do his job. Kweli's tracks help make 3rd Rail's show more popular, thus making him more money. Kweli appears on his show and pushes his own album making, not only 3rd Rail, but himself some extra cash. Seems like an even trade off. So, where does this logically lead to the necessity of free tickets, cds, posters, etc???? What does Kwa get in return? Some dude who kisses his ass?
