So "conscious" cats are "emcees" while more commercial acts are "rappers"?

I suppose I get what you're sayin' but don't agree with the terminology. An MC is the Master of Ceremonies (or one who moves the crowd, according to Ra) By that standard, a cat like Ludacris would certainly be considered an MC in my book.

In a nutshell, it would make more sense to simply say, this site is known more for "conscious artists" as opposed to "mainstream" ones. That way, you're not making up definitions for already established terms.
