being as though we utilized all 9 major bus companies in the states---i haven't heard of any accidents of this nature occuring on this level (metalica, j5 and gloria withstanding)---

it is customary for one driver to handle a trip and rarely does a situation occur that a show is booked so far away that the artist does not fly there as opposed to sit for a 20 hour ride.

he had a 2 day lead and by law drivers cant clock in over 8 hours in europe. so 2 drivers aren't needed because by law (and boy are they anal) they cannot drive more than 9 hours in a row.
