Who made it horrible and derogatory? Where did the word originate? Was a straight guy disgusted at a gay guy and just decided to call him a faggot? Where did this word come from? I always thought that faggot simply meant gay, that if a person was gay then he was a faggot. just a simple equals equation, gay=faggot. I saw the derogatory part come in when you called a straight person a faggot. That would be derogatory to a straight person because he is not gay.
