ANY, and I repeat ANY self respecting rapper would respond if their beats were being played to diss them. They may not have intended to pick sides when they played those beats but thats exactly what it was doing. Nas was within all of his rights to diss the roots cause the roots shouldnt have played those beats in the first place. ANY self respecting rapper would be crazy not to respond to something like that, I thought he was going to adress it sooner than he actually did.
