It's obvious that you're a perfectionist brother, and it comes across most of the time with your projects. But damn if I've heard a flawless album, it's "Mama's Gun" (Minus the confusion with the track listing). I was just listening to that the other day and I was privately giving you props for being part of that masterpiece. "AD 2000", easily one of my favorite album cuts of the last few years.

I don't think the Jag album is bad (the cursing does bother me a bit, as it did with Bilal), but I really have to give it a chance to grow on me. And I got a kick out of her liner notes. Funny as hell.

Funny, of all the ones I listed, Sade was the last one I thought you'd disagree with. I've never been a huge Sade fan, 'cause she never had brothers in her videos back in the day (my issue), but I liked "Lovers Rock" better than the one with "No Ordinary Love" on it.

But back to the original question, your ranking of Jag's album, more a statement of the quality of the album, or the sad state of R&B?

By the way, I miss your reviews, bless us when schedule permits.
Peace.
