JC actually wrote part of Songs In The Key Of Life. i think somewhere in the liner notes you'll see where Stevie shouted him out.
In my research, i also found out that Jesus used to have a doo-wop group "Christ and the Miracles". then he had some beef with his management and bounced. he was replaced by Smokey Robinson and the rest is history.
