2629, *hugs Nekaybaaw* FINALLY someone actually READS! Posted by Zorasmoon, Wed Nov-17-04 09:16 PM
>>i don't think too many here have the heart to actually tackle this topic.<<<
I'm realizing this! : D
>>>my dear i think you've gone completely over their heads. <<
I thought I wrote it in the plain English! lol! I honestly don't think their reading...probably skimming. It is a bit lengthy.
>>i do believe men are taught that emotions are seen as something women struggle with more.<<
absolutely. >>when in fact men only supress theirs for fear of looking less masculine.<<
Do women (as a collective) mainly encourage this suppression?
>>i've seen this in my own family. dad would teach my bro..that crying was for sissy's and he needed not be all emotional cause that's how people get under your skin.<<
I've only seen my dad cry in his pillow, when his mother died. It was like he was afraid for us to see him.
>>i say bullshit! <<<
I do too! Men have every right to display the range of human emotions...compassion, happiness...
>>well that supression soon started to build up and next thing we knew dad was on some cryin bullshit when something went down with grandma...<<
Or it manifests itself self-destructively..i.e. drugs, alcohol.
>>{we} are all human. with human behaviors.<<<
the bottomline. Everything else is role-play.
