I have no idea where he got that from.

I say get micronutrients from real food instead of going to supplements.

Macronutrients : protein, fat, carbs....you need those nutrients in order for the body to have energy and live

Protein: meat, beans, eggs, nuts

Carbs: fruit, veggies, beans, grains

Fat: meat and oils, some fruits like coconuts and avocado

Micronutrient: vitamins and minerals : you need those nutrients for cell and organ function as well as cell and organ growth.

You eat macronutrients to get micronutrients....

A plate of baked salmon with asparagus and potatoes( red, sweet, etc) will provide you with so many micronutrients. It’s all about pairing basic real foods.

I would eat a pot roast with mash potatoes ( made with no diary) and peas and carrots over most crap that is served in a restaurant any day.

Just eat real food and you will get everything you need.
