I agree this is not going anywhere anytime soon, and a vaccine is much needed.
However, keep in mind ,the human mammal and mammals in general have survived several different vicious pathogens with no vaccines since the beginning of man and beast. Immunity will occur, but it will take years, and there will be several deaths.
When I say set up military, set up military in certain residential areas similar to what is done with voting polls, and have people go to these testing spots, as well as other public testing spots, to get tested.
As far as people getting tired of that process, that's irrelevant. If China and South Korea can force its people to get tested, and expedite the testing process, we can definitely do that here.
If this outbreak does not decrease, and the numbers increase dramatically, military will definitely have to get involved. This is slowly carrying over to military divisions, where now navy sailors are testing positive, and are stuck on ships where it is hard to practice social distancing.
