First living organisms before plants, animals and man were bacteria and viruses, and plants carry viruses as well. It simply comes down to immunity to whatever crosses the many different species kingdom.

If you’ve never been exposed to something, you will lack immunity to that something , until your immune system can build up immunity to it. And that is what man has done from the beginning of time, just build up immunity to pathogens, whether it takes days, centuries or from totally being wiped out and evolving again.

However, a lot of these pathogens we are facing are man made and targeted to do certain things. It’s not as simple as Wet markets being the total culprit.

The fact that some people can recover and others can’t, all comes down to each individual immune system on how to deal with it ...peolple will die of course but that is the natural course to complete immunity as life continues.

Vaccines and medicine were not always available to protect man....just the natural immunity build up process which allowed civilization to thrive....and man has been meat eaters since inception, and raw meat eaters before the use of fire.
