I would say this is a big gamble for him. But he never seems to get locked into his positions. If he's wrong, he'll just say he always took it seriously and lots of people will believe him

Really though, he doesn't have too much control. The states are the ones locking things down.

I guess he could have the CDC and other officials downgrade their recommendations to put pressure on the states to fall in line
