because we aren't testing nearly enough the number of people exposed
its based on a small sample
there's no reason for there to be a higher mortality rate here than in other places
the only way this would be the case is if we had an older population (so i would look at japan for a comparative assessment)


that said
we are *really* fucking up.
and you and poetx are rightly so in pointing this out
as someone in public health.... its insane to watch this response play out
