She posts about her kid a lot. She never posts about her husband. In fact, I didn't realize she was married until one day she made a post about the fact that she is. In the post, she said that her husband is also an accomplished writer -- in fact, they are in the same field and cover the same topics in their work. But they don't follow one another on social media or post about their relationship, so few people on Facebook know they are married. And they like it that way, because sometimes putting marital details, even positive or neutral ones, out there invites gossip -- and attracts the attention of envious people and homewreckers. Plus they see more than enough of each other offline, so why follow or track each other in the digital realm?

So I can see the case for not posting about your happy marriage on FB.
