but the way the league portrays these guys...it simply sets itself up to be embarrassed constantly by putting forth the notion that its players are all upstanding citizens w/good morals and ethics and all that jazz. you've heard it. all of that trying too hard sets the league up to constantly put out fires when its players behave badly.
