most ppl are capable of code switching, to a degree.
most of it we learn naturally, some of it we learn intentionally.

i doubt he is wearing those clothes and using those vocal inflections and mannerisms
because he doesn't know how to be "str8 acting"/ "masculine" etc.

so that means he's doing that either because he feels more comfortable that way,
or because he wishes to use his language, speech patterns, and clothing
to assert his identity within a subculture, and he's saying "fuck you" to
anybody that has a problem with it.


so as a father, i'd have a choice to make.
i can either express my wish that my son was more masculine.
(and tbh, there is a part of me that would)
or, i can get the fuck over myself and just let
my kid do him.

i pick option 2.
