I felt a high from being wanted/valued, because I felt ugly. I saw my "pretty" friends with boyfriends and all in love and there I was all fat and ugly and no one wanted me.
Then I gained the adoration of my "pretty" friends because I was pulling the "fine" guys...they didn't know I was being used...hell neither did I.
