Take an upper class, white drug addict like Amy Winehouse. How does she benefit from black people suffering disproportionate convictions and sentences? How is it her fault that this happens? If the disproportionate convictions and sentences were to cease to exist.....how would that 'hurt' Amy Winehouse. What 'benefit' would she lose?
