I was just talking to someone over the weekend about how I don't understand "white american culture." I just don't get it. I think it's (what I interpret as) passive-aggressiveness. That shit just doesn't fly in the "black community," so when I see folks giving me the fake smile, pretending not to see me or making some comment that I'm not sure is "coded" or not I automatically say "fuck it" and stop trying to interact.
