If I understand correct, he isn't supposed to say either the winner's name or the first runner up's name (i.e. there are two left, you just announce the winner)

Why they would give the announcer extra info to parse through makes no sense.

I get why Steve is taking the responsibility for all of it, but there is some blame to spread around.
