ask to meet with BOTH of em.. just lay it out respectfully. (doesn't matter if u think he was disrespectful.. always come correct yourself)

just lay it out.. listen my son and i have a bond, we got these matching outfits.. i dont feel its inappropriate, but lets talk. what kind of common ground can we come to about these kind of situations? i respect that you care for my son part of the time, and if the situation was reversed i definitely wouldnt want to be at odds with you regarding YOUR son.

just hear em out.

IF u get what a lot of okps here said, which is that fit may be considered by some as hoodish or whatever.. either deal with it, or agree to let him wear whatever when he is with you and when he's not at school.

like it or not, the man IS caring for him part of the time, u know?

i think coming at it respectfully with the intent of coming to an agreement or compromise will bode well for the future of this shared relationship reality. (and a good lesson for your boy about working together even if you dont agree about everything)

but this is just how i roll. ;)
