He was supposed to stop the bus and call the police after she hit him, and wait for them to remove him while he sat in his seat. My father drives the bus in DC and he's had a number of similar situations. He *almost* got in trouble in a situation where it was a young bol who really was a mortal threat started a fight with him, and he "fought back". He wound up having to kind of sweet talk his way out of getting in trouble.
