we grew up in america,
so we got racist thinking embeded in our makeup just like white ppl do.

so we can tie ourselves in knots
always trying to make sure we stay on our best behavior.


sometimes, I catch myself worrying about stuff that white ppl don't worry about.

when I catch myself doing that, I intentionally stop it
and go back to thinking what I was thinking before.


any time I find myself asking,
"but what would white ppl think?" I kill the train of thought.


that doesn't mean I have to intentionally try to piss off white ppl, either.

but I damn sure can make a decision without considering their feelings.


if we gonna be free,
we have to deliberately start ignoring their feelings towards us.

which is hard, because society trains everybody to consider their feelings first.

so we talk about it...
so as to free our own minds.
