when dealing with y'all, no matter how cool you are, we gotta ALWAYS be prepared for that other shoe to drop

we could be friends for 100 years, but in THIS society the second we let our guard down we set ourselves up for a pain/disappointment that is hundreds of years old

the very sand of this land (the world really) is squishy with it

i don't wish for it to be that way (none of us do) but like i said below:

it ain't "fair" for you to have to deal with that...and there MIGHT be pocket of "us" that are free from having to CONSTANTLY keep that guard up because they live in some nirvana where there's no potential for some shady race ish...but most of us don't
