145711, everybody that is saying "multipication before division" is wrong.

i've seen that posted a bunch of times in this post,
and i don't know where it comes from.
multipication and division are on the exact same level in the order of operations.
that is not why we should be disagreeing on what the right answer is.
the probem is should you or should you not
distrubute the in the part of the problem that says: 2(9+3).
if you view the 2 as being part of the parenthesis,
then you should distrubte and teh answer is 2.
if you view the 2 as being seperate from the parenthesis,
you should not distribute, and the answer is 288.
mulitipcation before division has nothing do do with anything.
that's not even true.
