There is no such thing as "precedence." There are relationships
between numbers.

You cannot make assumptions for the math. Let the
math tell you what it wants.

If the equation wanted us to divide 48 by 2 first,
it would put them in parentheses.

(48/2)*(9+3)

Again -- let the math talk to you.

Left to right logic is only there to guide
our thinking. The thinking is more important
than the writing.

For you to prioritize spatial placement of
functions over logic sort of tips me off to
what's wrong here.
