re-listening to 'liberation' again, e's verse arguably fits in with the 'there's a fine line b/t love and hate'/'can't worry about what another n---a think' concept laid out in the song's opening (love of fans/hate from others, including airport personnel (heh)/can't worry about what people think once you're famous, etc).

someone could just as well make the argument that 'i sacrifice every breath i breathe to make you believe i'd give my life away', etc, is as much of a self-involved line as e's verse, on a 'look at me, i'd die for you' level.

i don't think the song is so singularly focused that e's verse doesn't fit.

it's all perception.
