Purple Rain isn't in mine, either. SOTT is tops for me, closely followed by Around The World, 1999, Parade and Dirty Mind.

I appreciate the greatness of PR, but there are a handful of Prince albums I prefer over it. It's almost a little too safe and commercial for me.

The old SOTT vs. PR battle is a no contest for me. SOTT is light years ahead of Purple Rain.
