I cosign that from my computer but not in person (don't wanna get into a figh).
>*biggie (why is he the greatest >of all time? cuz he's >dead? sorry but 2pac got >me)
I've been thinking that Jay had him after Hard Knock.
And I preferred Pac at the time of the feud. Barely.
Still, Ready to Die is essential to anyone who claims they like straight-forward 'street' hiphop. And Life after Death was a blueprint album (sorry, Jig) that so many lamo rappers tried to follow.
Nas was a better writer (before 1996) than BIG, IMO. BUT, BIG (and a slew of others) are better than Nas overall, IMO.
And the GOAT argument is a taste issue that I try to avoid. Especially when dealing with the dead and those who don't have enough material to support GOAT arguments.
>*angie stone (bought her album thinkin >i could see her influence >on d's work... the LP's >production was so bad, maybe >she'll fix that... good songwriting >tho)
I have traded this CD in and rebought it. I expected too many things from her. (under the table cosign)
>*brian mc knight (he can sing >but he just gets on >my nerves)
Cosign with my chest puffed out.
>*prince's synthesizer sound (but it was >the sound of the 80's >that i'm not into at >all)
Purple rain kicks ass.
>*wyclef jean
reluctant cosign.
>*dice raw (secretes too much saliva) >
Fits the underground love circuit category. Good by many measures, but overrated. Cosign (the Shaq-Ostertag line on '..Nothing New' was killer)
>*the neptunes
The Swizz beats of this time period. Hit or miss. Swizz with a few more "instruments". Cosign.
