and Fallon gig really brought them back together in a deep way. With all the music that we all know Q-Tip probably has from the years and years since his last solo album, it's not that crazy to think that they could add-on to what he had already built and create a bunch of music.

Tip had mentioned that the Last Zulu had a Tribe vibe but with a darker edge. Breakbeats and old school type stuff. If he was working on some off the wall singing stuff or whatever, I could see the timeline not making much sense. But if he was already on his OG hip hop shit, it's not a stretch to think Phife adds his verses to say 5-7 tracks and Jarobi kicks a rhyme or 2 on some stuff. Judging by Nutshell, Phife was on his game towards the end and could bring energy to a track.

I am kinda going nuts waiting for more info on this.
