ive never 'stopped' listening to sly, but i cant lie, for a while, i just felt like something from my past that i wasnt sure i still needed to listen to all that much. but this album has made me reaqcuaint myself with old JB, p-funk, sly, meters etc, in a way i havent done since i was a student i think. and its made me listen to them with fresher ears actually. i had a similar thing with jazz fusion after listening to the new flying lotus album.
