You said it yourself, it's the org. One should be able to enjoy D's new music without dwelling on whether Prince's studio cuts are seeing D'Angelo's in 2014.

I don't know. I avoid making too many comparisons myself because it assumes that Prince and D'Angelo are both trying to follow the exact same path in music and care about the exact same things. One thing is sure, if it indeed does make Prince MAD, we just might see the release of some very interesting new music from P. He is always at his best when he feels that there is some competition.
