- for starters, how could anyone be anything but excited about this? It came out of nowhere, we've heard nothing from it, and most of us haven't even heard of half the artists featured here save for the usual Dre collaborators. Will it let me down? Maybe (probably.) But the fact he's comfortable enough to put his name on the project and release it properly is really encouraging.

- "inspired by the movie" is a frail excuse to make an album but who cares? The last guy to use this same excuse was Jay-Z; he would release what remains his most inspired work post Black Album and revitalize his career.

- this is a power move for Apple Music. This is undeniably the biggest rap release since Watch the Throne, and maybe the biggest non Taylor Swift release since, I don't know, Eminem Show. If you're Apple and make a deal with artists like Drake,Trent Reznor, or Dr.Dre, THIS is exactly the kind of dream scenario you're deep down hoping for. Basically anyone who's paid attention to popular music in the last 20 years is going to want to hear this...and if the album is actually good this could alter the landscape.
