That's all mentioned in my piece Maxx...I even have Jimmy Jam talking about it...There were indeed a few acts starting to do the sample thing because of Mary/Puffy...
But after 93? Practically everybody was doing that shit....And even more importantly, hip-hop acts were outselling and out-influencing their R&B counterparts...
