theme of "ain't that easy" speaks directly to his fans--all of us who stuck around for 15 years.

it's been printed everywhere, but my favorite line on the whole album is "i tell you this sincerely/i need the comfort of your lovin/to bring out the best in me." that shit makes me emotional. super poignant moment.

i'm glad he addressed "us" first, before he explored his own inner dialogue on "1000 deaths". "1000 deaths" is the most bad ass song on the album, but i think it woulda been a buzz kill to make that shit first.
